About

Caroline Hundsholt is a Danish fashion designer who works exclusively with secondhand textiles. Since graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2021, she has created one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate imperfections, stories, and the beauty of what already exists.
When graduating from the academy, Caroline Hundsholt established 10 guiding principles that she follows in her work, and these creative dogmas form the foundation of her entire practice. Her designs mix patchwork, bold colors, and hand-painted prints to breathe new life into old materials like bed sheets, curtains, and tablecloths. Every piece is truly unique – she never makes the same dress twice.
In 2022, Caroline Hundsholt founded MERRY GO ROUND, a rental platform for occasion wear, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy sustainable fashion without owning more.
Since 2023, Caroline Hundsholt has offered digital sewing patterns, allowing others to recreate her pieces at home. She believes in shared creativity – in the simple beauty of “designed by me – sewn by you.”
Caroline Hundsholt also does teaching, talks and creative workshops focusing on sustainable design, circular fashion and working with secondhand textiles. Her work exists where fashion, play, and sustainability meet – always with heart and hands involved.
